Serpent Mandalas

 

 

Here are some progress pictures of 'Medicine Bear'. I added a bit of texture in the form of ric rac and lace - possibly handmade (not totally sure). A friend of mine gave me a bag of some very old clothing and for a long time I have resisted cutting into it. In the end I have cut the lace from the skirt and will leave the little top in tact.

The lace was stretchy and I managed to weave it into the branches of the tree. I love the texure. I left it in tact in the girl's dress and I have put it in the landscape among the hills.
