Time for a little update.

Still no new pics...but today I found out that I am having a small exhibition of works in early March so I will definately be putting out some of the new works over the next few weeks. Not only that, but I have finally quit the last part time job I had. So now I have 100% time to commit to my artwork...it's a very exciting step for me - embracing art full time.

As soon as I decided to leave I had 4 commissions arrive nicely to my doorstep and I will be finishing these over the next few weeks also (thank you to those people :)!) Sometimes you have to leave one thing to make room for the next.

The interview with Francesca Durham was done a couple of weeks ago now - and for anyone who is interested in hearing more about the process involved in the making of my mandalas it is available for download at her website. Francesca has a wonderful interviewing technique that helped relax my initial nerves but I still managed to say 'um..' about 1000 times throughout the discussion.

For this week's IF - Tales and Legends - a mandala I did a while ago - 'Rapunzel'

Hello hello...

I hope that everyone has had a wonderful Christmas and a just as wonderful New Year !! :)
I've had a bit of a break over this time but in the lead up to Christmas I was very busy with weekly market stalls...so much so that I haven't had a chance to do much painting this past month.

I was amazed at the response I have had with my work through the markets and so this year I will continue. There is an updated list of where I will be from week to week on my website www.serpentmandalas.com . Last weekend I did my first Kirribilli Art Market in Sydney and next weekend I will be back at the Old Bus Depot Markets in Canberra. (I have included an old pic above of the stall I had when I used to do the markets a few years back in Canberra. Back then I was mainly doing the mandalas and just starting on the dream series)

I am still trying to finish off some of the paintings I started weeks ago - and they should start arriving soon when I settle more into my market routine and get back into the flow.

This week I will be interviewed on blogtalk radio by Francesca Durham regarding the mandala artwork I have done and do. She has an interesting schedule of shows lined up in the following months so there should be some good listening there. As for my own interview.....lots of nerves fluttering around but I am very much looking forward to it.
